Continuing in AZ...

After Ehrenberg we went to Lake Havasu City in time for Halloween.
They had lot of activities & we went to their Halloween party...costumes & all.

For people that didn't have a costume they had sheets with holes in them & a sign to hang around your neck:
  • Big Sheet
  • Little Sheet
  • Dip Sheet
  • What a Sheet
You get the idea.  It really was hysterical!  They had a BBQ dinner & games like throw darts at the witch & knock down the bottles which by the way I threw & did not hit 1 bottle.

They also had special dinners every night which were pretty good & we went to a Pancake breakfast on a Sat. at the local firehouse down the street from the RV park.

What is Lake Havasu without going across the London Bridge?  We walked across & back the London Bridge & took lots of photos.  We also checked out the local museum which was really interesting.

Finally we ended up in Laughlin for a week.  Went back to Oatman & walked around and fed the mules, had lunch, saw a lame gunfight show (LOL) & looked around the shops.

We gambled a bit, & over the Veteran's Day weekend there was a BBQ contest with entertainment & food & a Veteran's Fair.  There were so many vets & military guys & gals of all ages.  Young & old.  I wanted to hug them all but I only hugged one & thanked a whole bunch for their service.  I love doing that especially with Viet Nam Vets.

In all, Arizona was interesting, but I like Nevada better. (So does Rod)  We decided to stay in Nevada at least until the end of February going between Las Vegas, Lake Mead, Pahrump & whatever other fun RV parks we can find around the area.  There are more places for us to stay at free or cheap!

We spent my 60th birthday & Thanksgiving in Las Vegas.  Rod had won 2 FREE buffet dinners at Silverton Casino.  We did a little gambling before dinner & I saw that they gave 1000 points on your birthday,  I went to sign up & the gal said to play for one more point & the 1000 points would kick in.

Well, they didn't.  I went back & they discovered when they signed us up they had put my birthday month in wrong (October).  To make it up to me they gave me $40 in Diner Credit (YUM more buffet), a bottle of wine & a Free Slot Play Card.  SCORE!

The next day we decided it would be cheaper to go to a buffet for Thanksgiving since all I could cook in my little oven was a turkey breast.  Have you priced turkey breasts?  Anyway we got to Sunrise Station, one of our favorite casinos, & the wait for the buffet was 1 - 2 hours.  We decided to go to the restaurant & had a fabulous turkey dinner with the works.  They gave us so much I brought home turkey & Rod had a turkey sandwich the next day.

We are on our out week & will be back in Vegas to see the Christmas decorations. Whoo Hoo!
